I have been working with corporate HR departments for more than twenty years doing transformation projects. We focus on developing new strategies, redesigning processes and changing out the technology. But the one area that is most often overlooked, is the people.
One of the most common reasons for implementing recruiting technology is to eliminate administrative work and free up recruiters time so that they can focus on value added activities. This type of assessment is a great way to determine if they have the skills and abilities to be effective, and if not provide them with the individual development plan to get there.
Designs on Talent has put together a two day validated Assessment Center for Talent Acquisition professionals. It focusses on the core competencies of Sourcing, Cold Calling, Interviewing, Influencing, and Managing Stakeholders.
During the program the participants are faced with simulations and role plays that help to test their abilities in each competency. But the assessment is just the beginning. After the program they get some 1-1 coaching, a personalized feedback report and development plan.
As the TA Leader, you receive a report on your team with a complete analysis of strengths, weaknesses and gaps. This program has been developed by people who have run recruiting operations for large global corporations and the content is spot on. In my 20+ year career I have not seen anything quite like it.
